Happy Birthday Riley!

I made a cars cake for Riley's birthday this year. For those of you who know me well have to be proud of me. You know I am not the most crafty person. Riley seemed to really like his cake.

Riley was so excited for his birthday cake. He even blew out both of his candles. He is such a fun kid. We are so blessed to have him, and to have another little boy on the way!

Family Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

Riley was a frog this year for Halloween. He seemed to like being in this costume, so we let him wear it even though it was two sizes too big. His favorite part about Halloween this year was all of the suckers! They are his favorite treat.

Baby number 2 is on the way!

I can't figure out the cool pregnacy tracker thing that people put on their blogs, so I just decided to do a post announcing that I am pregnant. We are so excited for the new addition to our family coming the first of April. I am 16 weeks along, and things seem to be going well so far. I will post again when we find out the sex of our baby.

Last Year's Halloween

I am getting excited for Halloween this year, so I decided to share a picture of our little monkey from last year. Riley wasn't even walking last year, so it should be fun to take him trick-or-treating this year.

Two Breaks Before Age 2

Riley with broken leg number two. What are the chances of this happening?

Two weeks ago when Reed was hunting Riley fell down our garage stairs and broke his left leg. It had only been four months since he got his cast off his other leg, so I couldn't believe it was really broken. Of course it happened when Reed was out of town and without cell phone service, so I went through the ER trauma as a single parent. Riley only has his cast on for 2 more weeks and he is doing much better now that he can get around.

Going to the Lake in St. George

Our family went down to St. George for Labor Day weekend. Reed's friend took us out to the lake and we had a great time. Riley did so much better on the boat this time. He even rode on the tube with us. We had fun seeing friends and family, and Riley continues to ask about his favorite cousin Amy.

Family Trip to the Hogle Zoo

Last month our family made a trip to the zoo. We didn't know if we were ever going to make it there that day because of all the construction and detours we had to take to get there. We finally made it there after almost two hours of driving and we had fun seeing all the animals. Riley loved being able to touch the sculptures of animals they have.

Pioneer Day

We spent the 24th of July in Santaquin Canyon with Reed's family. Riley had a lot of fun throwing rocks in the water and getting dirty.

Fish Lake

Our trip to Fish Lake was a lot of fun. We stayed in my Grandpa's cabin with my parents and my niece. Reed went fishing with my dad and caught a lot of fish. We played baseball and went on four wheeler rides. We even let Riley go on a short ride on the four wheeler with us. He loved it!

Fourth of July Fun

We stayed home for the 4th of July because Riley was sick. We ended up going to our town carnival with some of our friends and had a fun time riding the rides.

Summer Fun

Riley breaks his leg

Riley fractured his leg on May 6, 2008. He was playing in our kitchen and slipped on a piece of paper. He was in a splint for about five days, and then he was in a cast for three weeks. Life at our house was a little hectic through the whole ordeal. Riley has had the cast off for about 2 1/2 weeks now and he is pretty much back to his normal active self. I guess this is just the first of many injuries for my curious and crazy boy!
